Paola’s New Vest & Her Incredible Achievement

This week we were able to give Paola a beautiful SCOTTeVEST, donated by Taylor, one of our kind expat supporters here in Cuenca. Paola begins attending her new school in September — a school with one of the highest academic standards in the city — and she has a long commute each day to get there.
She leaves home very early in the morning, and having a secure vest where she can safely carry her phone, bus card, and school supplies makes a real difference for her safety and confidence.

We are especially proud of Paola because during the past six months she studied IXL every single day, improving her math level by eight grade levels. Her dedication earned her acceptance into a top school, and she starts in just two weeks.
Thank you again to Taylor for providing the vest — your gift supports Paola’s education and her daily journey.
We would love to receive more donated SCOTTeVESTs, as several of our other students also travel in risky or challenging situations and would benefit from the same protection.
