At Cuenca English Club, 20 bright young students are preparing for the new school year. Each one is eager to learn, full of energy, and ready to grow. But for some families, the cost of required school uniforms is simply out of reach.
After careful assessment, we identified seven children whose families cannot afford uniforms. Thanks to one generous donation, two children are already covered — with full uniforms, shoes, and supplies. That leaves five more still waiting.
For families already struggling to meet daily needs, uniforms are more than clothing. They represent dignity, confidence, and the chance to walk into school ready to learn alongside their peers. Without them, children risk starting the year feeling excluded and discouraged.
It costs $120 to fully outfit one child with uniforms, shoes, and supplies. Smaller gifts — $25 or $50 — help us get closer. Every dollar makes a difference.
