English was the common ground among students from around the world.

Kudos to Diego!
Fresh from Cuba to Ecuador, Diego joined our English Club without English skills. Remarkably, he soared from beginner to advanced levels over a period of 5 months. Impressively, he triumphed in the school spelling bee, outshining even fifth graders—as a fourth grader! Diego, your hard work is inspiring. We’re all cheering for you!

Mother’s Day Preparations
Our program’s children are truly amazing, and we believe that their success is due in large part to their wonderful mothers. These mothers provide unwavering support and encouragement to their children, which is essential for them to achieve all that they have. This past weekend, we celebrated these amazing women by having the students make cards (in English) and giving them flowers. It was a beautiful day of celebrating mothers and all that they do for their children.
Cindy Benson Performs!
Cindy Benson, a Broadway star with leading roles in Les Miserables and Cats, visited the English Club and shared interesting stories about her life. She also performed for us, singing accompanied by Sarita on the piano. It was an amazing experience! Cindy is fluent in both Spanish and English and lives in Cuenca.
